AMALIE Arena is named after the locally family-owned and operated AMALIE Oil company. AMALIE is pronounced AM-uh-lee and rhymes with family. It is currently owned by Tampa Bay Entertainment Properties, LLC, a division of Vinik Sports Group, LLC. Located in downtown Tampa between The Florida Aquarium and the Tampa Convention Center. It is the home of the Tampa Bay Lightning NHL Hockey Team, Tampa Bay Storm AFL Football Team, and is host to well over 150 spectacular entertainment events annually.
