Under the updated law, OMMU must revoke a patient's or caregiver's Registry registration in certain circumstances involving convictions or guilty/nolo contendere pleas for specified serious controlled-substance offenses, including trafficking, sale, manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to sell, manufacture, or deliver a controlled substance under Chapter 893. The provision applies to qualifying cases disposed of on or after July 1, 2025.
